Akshay Kumar’s ’Housefull 5’ to Release in June

Akshay Kumar, along with Riteish Deshmukh and Abhishek A Bachchan, will star in ”Housefull 5,” the first film in the popular comedy franchise in six years. The film is set to release worldwide on June 6.
The plot revolves around the trio on a cruise ship, each claiming to be the heir to a fortune. After a night of spiked drinks and hazy memories, they find themselves in jail following a murder, prompting detectives to investigate.
As one of India’s biggest budget comedies, “Housefull 5” takes viewers from the cruise ship to London, France, Spain, and back to the United Kingdom as police investigate the crime. Notably, the film will feature two different endings, screened at different times in cinemas.
The ensemble cast includes Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonam Bajwa, Nargis Fakhri, Sanjay dutt, Jackie Shroff, Nana Patekar, Chitrangada Singh, Fardeen Khan, Chunky Pandey, Johnny Lever, Shreyas Talpade, Dino Morea, Ranjeet, soundarya Sharma, Nikitin Dheer, and Akashdeep Sabir.
Tarun Mansukhani directs the film, with Sajid Nadiadwala serving as writer and producer. Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment is producing the comedy film.
“I’ve been thinking about the story of Housefull 5 and having two different climaxes for the last 30 years,” said Nadiadwala. “I’ve always wanted to make a thriller, and the idea finally came to me 3–4 years ago, right after I finished writing Housefull 4. I wrote the story and screenplay myself, and it’s truly a dream come true. What makes this film unique is that different shows will have all together different killers and climax.”
