Prosecutors in Türkiye have filed an indictment seeking up to 15 years in prison for an engineer accused of links to the Gülenist Terrorist Group (FETÖ) and involvement in its alleged United States network.

The indictment was filed on Friday, April 24, 2026, according to prosecutors in Türkiye. The case centers on allegations that the suspect played a role in FETÖ’s activities within the U.S., which Turkish authorities claim constitutes part of the group’s broader network.

FETÖ, the name used by the Turkish government to refer to the Gülen movement, was designated a terrorist organization by Turkey in May 2016. The government has linked the group to the failed coup attempt of July 15, 2016, a claim the movement denies.
