Indonesia and Oman Strengthen Digital Cooperation
Meutya Hafid, Indonesia’s Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs, suggests expanding digital cooperation between Oman and Indonesia. She emphasizes the need for investment in digital infrastructure to enhance collaboration.
During an event in Jakarta marking Oman’s 54th National Day, Hafid noted, “Both Oman and Indonesia have a big opportunity for closer cooperation in digital infrastructure, cybersecurity, and innovation.” This partnership aims to create solutions for global challenges.
The longstanding diplomatic relations between Oman and Indonesia span over four decades. Both countries have established cooperation in political, cultural, economic, and social areas.
Hafid believes that this partnership will foster innovative technological solutions that drive economic growth and improve governance. She expressed hope that the cooperation would benefit both nations and set an example for others in using technology to reach development goals.
At the ceremony, Hafid congratulated Oman on its National Day, wishing prosperity and peace for its people in the coming year.
