Indonesian U-20 Team Unveils Surprise Addition Ahead of Asian Cup
Jakarta – Indonesian U-20 national team coach Indra Sjafri has sprung a surprise by introducing a new player of Indonesian descent to the Garuda Muda squad ahead of the AFC U-20 Asian Cup.
The team is currently in a training camp in Jakarta from December 5th to 20th, 2024, as they gear up for the tournament kicking off on February 13th.

Drawn in Group C, Garuda Muda will face tough competition from Uzbekistan, Iran, and Yemen in the group stage.
One of the surprises for this training camp is the absence of two diaspora stars,Jens raven and Welber Jardim,who had previously participated in the U-20 training camp in Japan.
However, Sjafri has opted to include a fresh face from the U-17 squad: 15-year-old Mathew Baker.
