A devastating fire broke out at Fili Wedding Dress Shop on Zhongzheng 3rd Road and Linsen 1st Road in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan, at 2:55 pm today (10th). The 4th floor building was completely engulfed in flames, but fortunately, the fire was brought under control after about an hour.
According to the shop owner, Mr. Qian, when employees returned from the bank, they found three cats on the third floor of the shop. Two cages and one outside, but they probably have 5,000 wedding dresses, and as a loss has been taken by the couple as high as 200 million yuan. Fortunately, the dresses were uploaded to the cloud and will not be affected.
The bridal shop where the fire broke out was initially understood to be on the fourth floor of a building located on a bridal shop street in Kaohsiung, with someone injured and trapped. Efforts are underway to confirm the details.
Police immediately went to assist with traffic diversions and urged pedestrians to change lanes and stay away. Linsen 1st Road (Zhongzheng Road to Qiqing Road) was closed in both directions, and Zhongzheng 3rd Road (West section of Zhongshan 1st Road) was also affected. Firefighters were requested to quickly reroute to avoid affecting rescue efforts.
The fire was brought under control after about an hour, but the four-storey building was mostly made up of wooden decking and combustible materials. The glass screens on the outer walls of the shop could not withstand the high temperature and started to burst into flames. After the fire was extinguished, 2-3 people were injured, the fourth floor was almost burnt down, and the store suffered major damage.
Captain Peng Baojing of the First Battalion of the Kaohsiung City Fire Department said in an interview that while the interior of the wedding dress shop was mostly made of wooden partitions, according to the fire department statistics, a total of 32 vehicles and 95 people were dispatched to control the fire.
