The acquisition aims to strengthen Infineon’s position as a leading supplier to the automotive industry. The company is already a market leader in microcontrollers. Jochen Hanebeck, CEO of Infineon, envisions applications extending beyond the automotive sector.
Hanebeck stated that Ethernet technology complements Infineon’s existing portfolio,playing a vital role in the advancement of software-defined vehicles.
