InnoEX 2026: China Showcases Advanced Robotics in Hong Kong

The InnoEX 2026 exhibition, held from April 13 to April 16, 2026, at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, has showcased a significant expansion of humanoid robotics into service, public safety and entertainment functions. The event, which ran alongside the Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Spring Edition), highlighted the integration of intelligent machines into daily life as part of a broader strategic push by China.

The showcase featured a variety of humanoid robots demonstrating versatile capabilities, ranging from high-dexterity musical performances to combat simulations. These demonstrations are intended to illustrate how robotic systems can be applied across multiple sectors, including security, customer service, and emergency rescue.

These include systems providing navigation assistance and support during emergencies, with specific models capable of operating fire hoses in hazardous environments.

Other robotics developments on display included patrol robots and systems developed by the Chinese University of Hong Kong, reflecting a mix of corporate and academic contributions to the field.
