According to The Guardian, Starmer spent his birthday visiting a primary school in Orpington, a suburb of London, where he promoted the latest school system reform and interacted with students. When asked about his birthday celebrations, his staff suddenly remembered it, with a spokesman admitting that they had forgotten to wish him a happy birthday that morning.
Starmer has always been known for being “low-key“ about his birthday, and this year was no exception. In an exclusive interview with the BBC, he mentioned that he prefers to keep his birthday celebrations private. This is in contrast to his staff, who seem to have forgotten this important date.
Interestingly, Starmer is known for remembering important dates of his relatives and friends, and is often meticulous about attending their birthday celebrations and other special events. The addition of a new pet was a result of negotiations between Starmer and his two children, who had initially wanted to raise a German shepherd dog. The family eventually settled on a cat, which Starmer humorously described as a challenge due to the bulletproof doors and windows of the Prime Minister’s Office.
Animal protection organizations have warned that it may take time for the new kitten to adjust to the existing pets, particularly Larry, who is already 17 years old and needs more rest. Nevertheless, the Starmer family is excited to welcome their new furry member.
