Sources indicate that the brothers have not spoken in over two years.Royal historian Marlene Koenig notes that
”bridges have been burned on both sides.” The emotional distance far outweighs the geographical separation.
Tensions escalated when Prince Harry discussed his security concerns for his family—Meghan Markle, Archie, and
Lilibet—during a BBC interview. He also mentioned his father, King Charles, who is undergoing cancer treatment,
expressing a desire for reconciliation but citing “security stuff” as a barrier. Prince William was reportedly

upset by meghan’s claims about their pre-wedding interactions. Koenig suggests that William and Kate are focused
on their duties and Kate’s health, rather than the drama surrounding Harry.
“William and Kate have had to deal with her cancer and not worry about what Harry is saying.They’re doing what
they do as a family and as the future king and future queen consort and live their lives,” Koenig said.
