Intel Cancels Arrow Lake-S Refresh Desktop Processors
Intel has made significant changes to its plans, canceling the release of Arrow Lake-S Refresh desktop processors, originally scheduled for 2025.
The company had initially planned to launch LGA 1851-pin Arrow Lake-S and Intel Core Ultra 2-series desktop processors in 2024, followed by the refreshed 3-series desktop processors. However, this plan has been scrapped, according to information from the China Forum Chiphell.
The news suggests that Intel may be simplifying its product lineup, which could be the reason behind the cancellation of Arrow Lake-S Refresh.
Intel’s original plan was to launch the Nova Lake generation of unified processors for notebooks and desktops after Arrow Lake and Arrow Lake Refresh. However, the cancellation of Arrow Lake-S Refresh may not necessarily mean an early launch of Nova Lake.
Instead, Intel may focus on other projects, such as Razer Lake, although there is no confirmation on this platform at the moment.
