Man Arrested in Venezuela for Murder, Attempted to Mislead Police with False Clues

A 34-year-old man has been arrested in Miranda state, Venezuela, suspected of murdering a 24-year-old woman after she rejected his romantic advances. The suspect allegedly strangled the victim following an argument at his home on July 31st.
Deceptive Tactics Following the Crime
In a disturbing attempt to evade justice, the man reportedly scattered the victim’s clothing in various locations, hoping to mislead investigators and obstruct the search. This tactic aimed to create confusion and divert attention from his involvement in the crime. Authorities from the Corps of scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigations (CICPC) were able to see through this deception.
Finding of the Body and Inquiry
The victim’s body was discovered in a wooded area near the Mamporal parish, in the Buroz municipality – a location close to where she lived. The CICPC apprehended the suspect on Bicentennial Avenue in the Higuerote parish,Brión municipality.
Adding a layer of calculated manipulation, the suspect actively participated in the search efforts organized by the family and authorities. This allowed him to monitor the progress of the investigation and potentially influence the direction of the inquiry, all while concealing his guilt.
Facing Justice
The arrested individual is now in custody and will be presented before the Sixth Prosecutor’s Office of the Public Ministry of the Miranda state, Barlovento Extension, to face charges related to the murder.
