Munich Press Club and WORDUP PR Expand Hybrid Event Capabilities
Munich, Germany – – WORDUP PR, in collaboration with technology partner Creakom and the International Press Club Munich, is offering a refined concept for hybrid events. This partnership builds on a successful implementation during a United Nations press conference in , where the annual UNAIDS report was presented.
The rise of virtual conferences during the pandemic demonstrated the value of remote accessibility, and while in-person events have resumed, hybrid formats are gaining traction due to cost-effectiveness and broader reach. WORDUP PR recognizes the particular benefit this format offers public relations and press officers, allowing for professional engagement with international media and providing access for journalists unable to attend events physically.
Approximately 80 journalists attended the UNAIDS press conference at Marienplatz in Munich, while several hundred more participated digitally. The event also featured simultaneous translation into English, French, and German, facilitated by three interpreters.
Creakom, a Munich-based service provider with whom WORDUP has collaborated on hybrid specialist conferences in the intellectual property sector, handled the technical implementation. The International Press Club Munich provided the venue and assisted with media outreach to an extensive distribution list.
The International Press Club Munich currently has around 850 members, including journalists, press spokespersons, and media representatives. The club fosters a network for professionals in news coverage and media management.
