United Nations Ceasefire Agreement Overview

UN Secretary-General’s Statement

Antonio Guterres welcomed the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon. He hopes it will end the violence, destruction, and suffering for people in both Lebanon and Israel. Guterres urged both parties to fully respect and quickly implement their commitments under the agreement, along with UN Security Council Resolution 1701.

Gulf Cooperation Council’s Response

Jordan’s Remarks

Jordan welcomed the agreement, viewing it as a critical step in ending the Gaza war. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs called for international efforts to cease attacks on Gaza and the West Bank while supporting Lebanon’s security and reconstruction.
