India Readies for International Day of Yoga 2025

India is set to celebrate the 11th international Day of Yoga on June 21 with numerous events planned across the country. The Yoga sangam, a flagship event, will take place in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lead the Yoga Sangam event as part of a two-day visit to Bihar, Odisha, adn Andhra Pradesh that began Thursday.
Before the yoga event, Modi will inaugurate growth projects in Siwan, Bihar, on Friday, boosting infrastructure and socio-economic growth in the region. The Yoga Sangam is among 10 signature events for this year’s yoga Day, themed “Yoga for One Earth, One Health.”
The Yoga Sangam will feature a synchronized mass yoga exhibition based on the Common Yoga Protocol (CYP) at more than 100,000 locations across India on June 21, 2025, from 6:30 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. Modi will lead the national event in Visakhapatnam, Andhra pradesh. This collective party aims to reaffirm the shared commitment to yoga and its relevance.
