Starward Industries has unveiled a new gameplay trailer for its upcoming extraction survival game Into the Fire, titled “What We Bring Back,” alongside the announcement of public playtests on the game’s official Discord server. The trailer premiered during IGN Fan Fest 2026 and showcases the game’s core rescue loop, high-pressure extraction mechanics, and evolving volcanic environment shaped by lava flows, ash storms, and collapsing structures.
The gameplay trailer emphasizes decision-making under time pressure, where players assume the role of a rescuer on a collapsing volcanic island and must choose what and who to save during each run. According to Michał Obłoj, Marketing & Business Development Manager at Starward Industries, the trailer highlights the weight of every rescue: “You can’t stop the catastrophe, but you can decide what you bring back.”
Into the Fire blends extraction survival structure with high-intensity missions and storytelling elements, featuring tactical extinguishing tools inspired by retro technology and new locations such as ruins. The game’s dynamic world responds to volcanic activity, creating shifting conditions that affect gameplay and strategy.
Alongside the trailer release, Starward Industries announced a new wave of community playtests hosted on the official Into the Fire Discord server. Players can apply to join early testing and provide direct feedback to help shape the evolving experience. The playtests are open to those who have wishlisted the game.
The announcement was made on February 25, 2026, from Starward Industries’ headquarters in Cracow, Poland. No further details regarding release date, platforms, or pricing were disclosed in the trailer announcement or playtest invitation.
