Skybound Launches Quarter Up Studio for ‘Invincible VS’ Fighting game

Skybound Entertainment has announced the creation of quarter Up, its first in-house game development studio. Based in Los Angeles wiht over 40 employees, Quarter Up is already at work on its inaugural project: Invincible VS, a new fighting game set in the universe of Robert kirkman’s popular comic book series, Invincible. The game is planned for release in 2026.
The studio’s name, Quarter Up, is a nod to the arcade era, reflecting the team’s passion for combat-focused games. The team boasts experiance from studios including Activision Blizzard,Riot Games,Naughty Dog,and Amazon Games. Several members previously worked on Killer Instinct.
According to Skybound Games EVP and general manager Chris Paulson, the studio’s talent makes it the perfect choice to bring the Invincible fighting game to life. He added that Skybound is thrilled to have Quarter Up as part of their team.
The game was revealed at the Xbox Games Showcase during Summer Game Fest. Invincible VS is a 3v3 tag fighting game featuring characters such as Invincible,Atom Eve,and Omni-Man. The game aims to capture the comic’s signature hyper-violent combat.
