Strengthening Support for Olympians
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the World Olympians Association (WOA) have renewed their agreement, building on decades of IOC support for the WOA since its founding in 1995, led by former IOC President Juan Antonio Samaranch. The renewed partnership aims to enhance engagement and support for Olympians, strengthen collaboration between the two organizations, and reinforce good governance within the partnership.
A key focus of the agreement is maximizing the impact of joint initiatives and resources to empower Olympians to serve as role models and ambassadors of the Olympic Movement. The WOA currently supports Olympians globally and assists over 100 National Olympians Associations in promoting the spirit of Olympism within their respective countries.
