iQOO 15: New Flagship Gamer Smartphone Launched in China
iQOO has officially launched it’s latest high-end gamer smartphone, the flagship number 15, in China. The device comes with a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, with many improvements on board compared to its predecessor, which also affect the display, cameras and battery.
The iQOO 15 is equipped with a 6.85-inch Samsung M14 AMOLED LTPO display, which offers 2K resolution and 144Hz refresh rate, with a peak brightness of up to 2600 nits. Those sensitive to the vibration of organic panels will probably be happy with the 2160 Hz PWM brightness control, and everyone else with Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support. An ultrasonic fingerprint reader has also been integrated under the screen.
The heart of the smartphone is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset,which is complemented by the Q3 gamer chip and up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X Ultra RAM. The maximum storage capacity is 1 TB, UFS 4.1 modules are used during production. Effective cooling is ensured by a 14,000 square millimeter steam chamber construction, and the role of the software is played by OriginOS 6 based on Android 16.
