Iran Condemns israel’s Attacks as war Crimes at UN Council
Geneva – Iranian foreign Minister Syoud Araqchi addressed the UN Human Rights Council in geneva on Saturday, strongly denouncing recent Israeli attacks on Iranian territory. Araqchi described the actions as an “unprovoked aggression” and a “grave injustice,” urging member states to uphold their legal and ethical responsibilities.
The attacks, which began June 13, reportedly targeted military personnel, university professors, civilians, residential areas, public infrastructure, hospitals, and the foreign ministry. Iran claims more than 400 people have died and at least 3,000 have been wounded.
Araqchi stated that Iran’s nuclear facilities, monitored by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), were also targeted. He warned of potential “environmental and health catastrophe” due to radiological leakage,calling attacks on nuclear facilities “grave war crimes.”
