The Iranian men’s kabaddi team demonstrated a compelling performance at the recent islamic Solidarity Games,ultimately securing a silver medal. Thier journey began with a decisive 72-29 victory over Thailand. Following a narrow 48-55 defeat against Bangladesh, the team rebounded emphatically, achieving significant wins against Pakistan (74-23), Bahrain (92-17), and Sri Lanka (92-23) to earn their place in the championship final.
The tournament, held in Bahrain, brought together kabaddi teams from iran, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Bahrain, Sri lanka, and Thailand.
Silver “No Less Than Gold”
Despite falling short of gold, Alireza Pakdel, head of Iran’s delegation to the Islamic Solidarity Games, lauded the men’s team’s effort as exceptionally valuable.
