Iran President Warns Against Targeting Khamenei – All-Out War Threat

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian blamed teh United States and its allies for hardship facing Iranians, citing long-term hostility and sanctions. he stated on Sunday that targeting ‍Iran’s Supreme Leader, ​Ali Khamenei, would be‌ an act of war against the Iranian people, according to a‍ post on X.

Pezeshkian’s comments follow repeated threats from U.S. President Donald Trump to intervene on behalf of protesters and calls for an end to Khamenei’s ⁤37-year rule. Tehran has responded by lifting restrictions on internet‍ access during the demonstrations.

Recent protests across⁢ Iranian cities center on worsening economic conditions.‍ Thes demonstrations⁣ coincide with threats from both President Trump and Israeli Prime Minister ‌Benjamin Netanyahu to launch military attacks‌ against Iran, purportedly to​ support the protesters.

Netanyahu has previously‌ stated his intention to protect Iranian citizens, ​ according to reports.
