Iran Warns⁢ of ‘Unprecedented Danger’ After US Strikes on Nuclear Sites

Following U.S. military strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities, an Iranian official has warned of “hazardous consequences” and called⁢ for ⁢an ⁣emergency U.N. Security Council meeting. The ⁢official, Araghchi, condemned the U.S. action as aggression ⁤against Iran’s sovereignty, carried out in conjunction with Israel.

Araghchi stated that the U.S. bears ⁣full responsibility for the repercussions of ⁤its actions, accusing the U.S. of hostility toward Iran. He also claimed the strikes ⁣violated U.N. Security Council Resolution 2231 and cautioned⁤ that ⁤silence from the international community would worsen the situation, ⁣perhaps plunging the world into “unprecedented danger and chaos.”

Iranian President Masoud⁢ Pezeshkian echoed these sentiments, labeling the U.S. as the “primary instigator” of opposed actions against Iran.He urged national unity ⁤in the‍ face of‍ attacks from Israel and the U.S.

Prior to the strikes, Iran and the U.S. had been engaged in nuclear deal talks, which have since been suspended. Araghchi asserted that diplomacy is no longer ⁤viable after‍ the U.S. military action, particularly the targeting of nuclear facilities. He declared Iran’s ⁤right to self-defense and hinted at a response.

On social media, Araghchi ‍described the ⁢events as‍ “outrageous” with “everlasting consequences,” reserving Iran’s right to defend its interests. Simultaneously occurring, former President Trump lauded the U.S. attack on ⁤the Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan nuclear ⁢sites as “very successful.”

Trump stated that a full payload of bombs was dropped on the⁣ primary site, Fordow, and congratulated the American military. In a White House address, flanked by Vice President J.D. Vance,Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Defense ⁣Secretary Pete Hegseth,Trump claimed the sites were “totally obliterated” and called the ⁢mission “a spectacular military success.”

Trump warned Iran against retaliation, threatening a response “far greater” than the U.S. strikes. Simultaneously, Israel and Iran⁣ continue exchanging missiles amid escalating conflict.

The U.S. military action marks a significant escalation in the ⁢Israel-Iran conflict, with the U.S. now directly involved in efforts to curb Iran’s nuclear capabilities. The world now awaits iran’s next move.
