An Iranian state TV anchor was reportedly forced to flee her studio during a live broadcast after what is alleged to be an Israeli strike. The incident,captured on video,shows the anchor delivering a monologue when a loud explosion and shaking interrupt her.
The anchor, wearing a black hijab, was discussing a nearby bombing when the studio was reportedly hit. The video shows the moment of impact, with the camera shaking and dust filling the studio as the anchor turns and flees.
Following the strike, a propagandist from the channel spoke outside the burning building, claiming it was hit while they were working. He stated that they had been warned to evacuate but chose to work, and he was unsure how manny colleagues were injured.
Iran has reportedly threatened Israeli TV studios N12 and Now14,warning them to evacuate immediately.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) described the targeted Tehran state TV broadcaster as a “communication center for the military.” In a statement, the IDF said the air force targeted a “communication center that was being used for military purposes by the Iranian Armed forces” under the “guise of civilian activity.”
The IDF had reportedly issued an evacuation order for the area of Tehran where IRIB is located prior to the strike.
