Irish Food Exports Surge to Record €546.9 Million in MENA Region

Ireland’s food and drink exports to the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) reached €546.9 million ($624 million) in 2024, according to Bord Bia – The Irish Food Board. This milestone underscores the region’s increasing importance for Ireland’s agri-food sector. The figures were released alongside Bord Bia’s CEO Pulse Survey, which represents the views of Irish food and drink companies responsible for nearly €11 billion in global exports.
Despite geopolitical and economic challenges, 56% of Irish food and drink exporters expect growth in the MENA region in 2025. Robust consumer demand, rising interest in sustainably sourced products, and strengthening trade relationships are key factors driving this optimism.

He emphasized Ireland’s growing reputation as a trusted provider of high-quality food and drink solutions in the region, citing the scale of export performance in 2024 and strong exporter sentiment.
