Appointment of Marie Joyce
Manchester Airports Group (MAG), the largest UK-owned airport operator, announced the appointment of Marie Joyce as its new Chief Financial officer on October 13, 2024. NTR, an Irish renewables company, was her previous employer.
MAG stated that Ms. JoyceS “expertise in finance,combined with experience in aviation and big infrastructure,will support our group’s plans for conversion and growth as we invest more £2.5 billion (€2.87 billion) in our airports over the next five years.”
Financial Performance and Investment plans
MAG reported revenues of £1.3 billion for the 12 months ending March 31, 2024, an 8.4 percent increase from 2023. The group served 65 million passengers across its three airports – Manchester, London Stansted, and East Midlands – during the same period.
The company is currently undertaking a 10-year transformation program for Manchester Airport, scheduled for completion in 2024. In addition to completing this program, MAG plans to invest £2.5 billion across all three airports over the next five years (2024-2029).
