Ishii Hails Thai Heroes: Vietnam Falls as National Team Achieves Historic Victory

Thai National Team Triumphs Over‌ Vietnam in LPBANK CUP 2024

Masatada Ishii, coach of the⁣ Thai national team, praised his players for their impressive comeback against Vietnam in the LPBANK ‌CUP 2024.

The match, held at Mi Dinh Stadium in Vietnam,‍ saw the Thai⁤ national team, also ⁣known as the War Elephants, defeat‍ Vietnam 2-1. Suphanat Mueanta scored in the 25th minute, and Patrik Gustafsson sealed the win in‍ the 41st minute.

Coach⁢ Masatada Ishii expressed his ‌admiration for the team’s performance, saying, ⁢”We had to play two games in this warm-up in Vietnam, but I’m still impressed with the team.⁤ The Vietnam Football Association‍ and related people made ⁢the only ⁣remaining match possible.”

Ishii continued, “At the start of the game, Vietnam attacked quickly, causing us ⁢to concede a goal first. We had to think ⁤how to improve it. After that, we adapted to the style our team‌ had been practicing, and⁣ we were ⁣able to ‌score the goal back.”

The coach also praised the‍ team’s overall performance, saying, “Every player who went to watch the J-League or play in the Thai ‌League performed as expected. I didn’t see if it was passed or not, but⁤ I think everyone⁣ can do as expected from watching their form with‌ the club.”

Regarding Suphanat Mueanta’s performance, ‌Ishii said, “If⁢ you say what position ‍suits him, like today’s⁤ game,⁢ let him play on the⁣ side and play in front of goal. He⁢ can play both positions. If you want to say which position suits him, I ⁣can’t speak, but I think it‍ works well in the offensive⁤ game for the team.”

The Thai national team will return to ⁢Thailand⁤ immediately and will participate in ⁢the 50th King’s Cup football competition in Songkhla on FIFA Day in October, scheduled to take place between October 11-14, 2024.
