Punjab FC Adds Novoselec, Bakenga to Boost ISL Roster

Punjab FC is gearing up for the Indian Super League (ISL) season by adding European talent to its roster.The club announced the signings of Croatian defender Ivan Novoselec and Norwegian forward Mushaga Bakenga.
Novoselec, 29, previously played for FC Istiklol in Tajikistan, where he contributed to thier league title win. Bakenga, 31, comes from Apollon Limassol FC in Cyprus’s First Division. The team hopes these new additions will improve their chances in the upcoming season.
Nikolaos Topoliatis, technical director for Punjab FC, expressed enthusiasm about the new signings. “we have two very exciting and experienced players,” Topoliatis said. “Both players will help us take our game to the next level and will be crucial for our success.” He also noted Novoselec’s defensive skills and Bakenga’s scoring ability as key assets.
Bakenga’s career includes stints with Rosenborg BK in norway, Club Brugge in Belgium, and Tokushima Vortis in Japan. He boasts 109 goals in 362 career appearances. He also played for Norway‘s youth national teams.
