Recovery and Rebuilding
Just over two years after the devastating flood of May 16, 2023, the Mercurial gym in Via Isonzo has been returned to the city. The reopening ceremony was held on Wednesday morning, with Mayor Gian luca Zattini describing it as an “crucial day.”
“The Mercurial Gym was one of the symbols of the flood,” Zattini stated. “It was nice that the conditions for a rebirth instantly were created. All the companies teamed with the municipality and we are strongly engaged, creating a gym to the fair that supported local sport from nothing.”
Ongoing recovery Efforts
Mayor Zattini acknowledged that significant work remains to be done more than two years after the flood. “There are still many things to do,” he said. “These are those moments that give the strength and ability to design everything that is still missing.”
The Mayor also highlighted the support of Conad, represented at the ceremony.
