Mossad Operations Inside Iran During Recent Conflict
Updated June 26, 2025
During the recent 12-day war between Israel and Iran, Israeli commandos reportedly conducted covert operations deep inside Iranian territory. These operations, which supported the broader Israeli military campaign, involved the deployment of advanced weaponry and the disruption of Iranian air defenses.
Shortly after the Israeli military and Mossad launched their attacks on June 13, footage surfaced that appeared to show Mossad operatives inside Iran. The video depicted camouflaged agents deploying weapons designed to cripple iran’s air defense systems, clearing the path for incoming Israeli aircraft. These projectiles were identified as spike missiles, precision-guided anti-armor weapons capable of striking targets beyond the line of sight.
Iranian authorities confirmed the use of these weapons, displaying remnants of customized Spike missile launchers discovered in an open area. According to state media, the weapons were equipped with internet-based automation and remote-control systems, operated by “terrorist Mossad agents.”
This operation echoes the 2020 assassination of Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, a key figure in Iran’s nuclear program. Iranian authorities stated that Fakhrizadeh was killed using remote-controlled and AI-guided equipment. Media reports indicated that a one-ton gun was smuggled into Iran by Mossad and mounted on a pick-up truck.
In response to these alleged collaborations, Iran executed three men in West azerbaijan province on Wednesday, accusing them of involvement in Fakhrizadeh’s death and other assassinations.

Drone Manufacturing Inside Iran
Israel also reportedly used numerous small, explosive-laden drones to overwhelm iranian defenses. Iranian media reported frequent activation of air defenses to counter these drones, as well as larger military-grade drones like the Hermes 900.
Authorities discovered pick-up trucks equipped to launch pre-programmed drones near intended targets. This strategy mirrors tactics used by Ukraine, which destroyed a significant portion of russia’s strategic bomber fleet using similar drone attacks.
Iranian authorities organized extensive search operations, particularly at night, to locate suspicious vehicles. Armed security forces established roadblocks and checkpoints across the country, searching for trucks carrying concealed cargo.
According to reports, Israeli operatives established small drone production lines inside Iran. One such operation was discovered in Shahr-e Rey, south of Tehran, where a three-story building was allegedly used to manufacture drones, homemade bombs, and explosives.
State television also showcased another operation where six Iranian “Mossad agents” were reportedly assembling quadcopters with bombs, timers, grenades, and other weapons. Some arrested suspects confessed on television, stating they attempted to film air defenses for Mossad.
‘We Are all Under Surveillance’
Eyal Zamir, the Israeli military’s chief of staff, confirmed that commando forces “operated covertly deep in enemy territory,” but did not directly address the alleged operations within Iran.
Iranian officials have not directly commented on the claimed Israeli commando operations. however, authorities continue to announce arrests related to collaboration with Israel and the U.S., and have executed at least six people accused of spying as the start of the war.
Israeli intelligence operations are believed to have significantly contributed to the success of the initial surprise attacks on June 13. These attacks targeted top military commanders, nuclear scientists, air defenses, and missile launch sites.
An undated video showed Amir ali Hajizadeh, the assassinated head of the IRGC’s aerospace division, stating that ”we are all under surveillance” by Mossad through mobile phones and other devices.
What’s next
The long-term implications of these alleged Mossad operations within Iran remain to be seen, but they are likely to further escalate tensions between the two countries. Future investigations and disclosures may reveal more details about the extent and impact of these covert activities.
