Israel Closes West Bank checkpoint After Iran Attack
Updated June 14, 2025
Israel has closed all checkpoints to the Israeli-occupied West Bank, a military official said Friday, after the country attacked Iran. The closure restricts entry and exit to the territory, preventing Palestinians from leaving without special coordination.
The move comes as reports surface of further casualties in Gaza.According to Al Jazeera reporter Anas al-Sharif and Drop Site News, dozens of Palestinians were killed and injured when Israeli forces opened fire on people waiting for aid near a checkpoint north of Nuseirat. The reports described it as the latest such massacre.
Al-Sharif also reported that more Palestinians were killed when Israeli gunboats targeted tents of displaced people on a beach northwest of Gaza City. Independent verification of these reports remains unachievable, as Israel has barred foreign journalists from entering Gaza and has cut off internet service to the region since Thursday.
