Israel Launches Daring Ground Assault on Hezbollah Strongholds
Israeli Airstrikes in Lebanon: Hundreds Killed, Tens of Thousands Displaced
Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon have resulted in the deaths of hundreds of people and the displacement of tens of thousands. The situation continues to escalate, with the Chief of General Staff, Herzi Halevi, discussing the possibility of a ground attack in Lebanon.
Preparations for Ground Attack
According to Chief of General Staff Herzi Halevi, Israel is preparing for a possible ground attack in Lebanon. The intensive air strikes in the north of the neighboring country are aimed at reducing the effectiveness of the Lebanese Hezbollah militia.
Response to Hezbollah’s Rocket Attack
Referring to Hezbollah’s first rocket attack on Tel Aviv, Halevi stated, “Hezbollah has increased the range of its fire today and they will receive a very strong response later today. Be ready.”
Ensuring the Safety of Northern Residents
Israel’s goal is to ensure that residents from the north can return to their homes safely, said Halevi. To achieve this, the military is preparing for a ground operation, which involves entering enemy territory and attacking villages that Hezbollah has prepared as major military outposts.
Military Readiness
Halevi expressed confidence in the military’s ability to carry out the operation successfully, stating that the soldiers are “much stronger and much more experienced” than the Hezbollah fighters and will “destroy the enemy and its infrastructure.”
