Israel on High Alert: Vietnamese Embassy Sounds Alarm as Conflict Escalates

September 25, 2024 Catherine Williams - Chief Editor World

Security Alert: Vietnamese Embassy ⁤in Israel Issues Recommendations Amid Escalating Tensions

The Vietnamese ‌Embassy⁤ in Israel has issued ⁤security and ⁤safety measures for⁤ the Vietnamese community living, working, and studying⁣ in the country, amid escalating tensions between Israel and the⁣ Hezbollah movement in Lebanon.

Recommendations ‍for the Vietnamese Community in Israel

The⁤ Vietnamese Embassy in ‌Israel advises the community to take‍ the following precautions:

  1. Regularly monitor and ⁣update the current situation in Israel through reputable local media. Avoid areas that do not‌ ensure security and ⁢safety, particularly those ⁣at risk of attacks by Hezbollah ⁣forces, especially in northern Israel.
  2. Strictly comply with local authorities’ regulations and⁤ instructions on security measures. Develop plans‍ and strategies to ensure the safety and security of yourself and your loved ones ‍in the ⁤current war context.
  3. Regularly keep⁣ in touch with⁤ the Embassy. In case of emergency, need support, or require information ⁤about citizen protection⁤ plans, contact the citizen protection hotline: +972‌ 50 ⁢818 6116.

Escalating Tensions ‌Between⁢ Israel⁣ and Hezbollah

Hezbollah forces⁢ have launched a‌ series of ⁣attacks⁤ on cities in northern Israel, with approximately 150-160 rockets ‌and ⁢drones fired every day on September 22-23. Some attacks have⁢ reached as far ‍as 50‍ km from the border, affecting⁢ cities such as Haifa, Nazareth, Afula, and Jezreel Valley.

This is believed to ⁤be the largest and deepest attack on Israeli territory by Hezbollah‌ forces since the start of the Israel-Hamas ⁤war on⁢ October 7, ‍2023. The attack⁢ was in retaliation for an Israeli airstrike on southern Beirut on the night of September 20, 2024, which killed Hezbollah commander⁣ Ibrahim Akil.

In response to⁤ the ‌escalating tensions, the Israel Defense Forces have significantly increased ⁣their attacks on approximately 300 Hezbollah‍ targets in Lebanon on September 23.‌ The retaliatory attacks have increased in intensity and scale, making the conflict between the two sides increasingly⁣ complicated.
