The Ithaca Bombers compete at the NCAA Division III level and are members of the Liberty League. The program has been a part of the Liberty League since 2017.
The team plays its home games at Butterfield Stadium in Ithaca, New York, which has a capacity of 5,000 spectators.
Historically, the Bombers have a significant record in college football, with an all-time record of 536–263–11. This history includes 25 conference championships and three claimed national championships.
The program has a long-standing rivalry with Cortland, known as the Cortaca Jug.
