Petra Sörling of Sweden was re-elected president of the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Doha. The election, held Tuesday, saw Sörling receive 104 votes, narrowly defeating Khalil Al-Mohannadi of Qatar, who garnered 102 votes. The ITTF has clarified the election process, emphasizing its adherence to the ITTF Constitution and Statutes.
The ITTF employs secure electronic voting systems, overseen by LUMI, also used by the International Olympic Committee, since 2020. A total of 208 member associations registered for the ITTF AGM 2025. According to the ITTF, 201 member associations confirmed their presence, with 185 in person and 16 online. Each member association has one vote, irrespective of whether it is present in person or online.
