ITV’s I’m A Celebrity: One Crucial Change Needed to Retain Viewers
Winter has arrived, marked by the return of “I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!” This show, hosted by Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly, keeps families glued to their screens each night to watch campmates face challenges.
After a week, there are surprisingly few arguments among the campmates, despite the tension. Danny and Barry tackled the first trial, while GK Barry and Dean confessed to their fears during later challenges. GK Barry gained attention online for her reaction to a leaf in the jungle.
Fans note that the show often allows less popular contestants, like politicians Nigel Farage and Matt Hancock, to dominate the trials, giving them more screen time, even when viewers want to see them struggle.
A new voting system might help. This could limit recent trial participants from the next trial, ensuring everyone has a fair chance. Popular contestants like Tulisa Contostavlos and Coleen Rooney deserve a chance too.
ITV bosses should consider this change to keep the show fresh and enjoyable for fans.
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here airs daily at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
