IVREA, Italy – the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Piedmont’s season continues with a tribute to cinema’s most iconic women. the Italian Philharmonic Orchestra (OFI) soloists return to Ivrea on Tuesday, April 15, for a 9 p.m. performance at the Mozart auditorium, located at corso Massimo D’azeglio 69.
The OFI ensemble will feature Jas – Jazz Acoustic Strings, comprised of Silvia Maffeis on violin, matteo del Soldà on viola, Nicolò Nigrelli on cello, Gabriele Rmpi on double bass, and Federico Negri on drums.
Jas: Bridging Classical and Jazz
Founded in 2016 by violinist Cesare Carretta, Jas explores the intersection of classical music, jazz, and improvised music, a genre often referred to as Third stream.Carretta will also perform as a violinist and arranger, alongside vocalist Valeria Perboni.
