JAC Motors Expands in Argentina: New Córdoba Dealer and Electric Vehicle Launch

JAC Motors confirmed the opening of a new official dealership in Córdoba and the local homologation of hybrid and electric versions of its JACT9 median pickup truck during the Expo Auto Chino 2026. Sideco Americana, which introduced the first Chinese automotive brand to Argentina, Brazil, and Uruguay in 2008, represents the manufacturer locally.

Alongside the vehicle announcements, the company activated its national JAC Puertas Abiertas campaign from October 2 to October 4, offering nationwide discounts and bonified after-sales services across its official dealer network.

Expanding Commercial Fleets and Sustainable Transit in Argentina

The formal homologation of the hybrid and electric variants of the JACT9 median pickup targets commercial fleets, mining, agriculture, oil and gas operations, and general industry. These sectors require high operational efficiency and lower carbon footprints without sacrificing power or work capacity. Sideco Americana is also partnering to transform public transportation through Higer buses with CNG and 100 percent electric motorizations.

For urban mobility, the arrivals include Linktour electric vehicles led by the Alumi Pro model. This biplaza urban electric vehicle reaches speeds of 90 kilometers per hour with zero emissions. The Expo Auto Chino lineup additionally displayed the JS8 PRO three-row family SUV, the JS6 PHEV plug-in hybrid SUV, the EV 30X electric hatchback, and the automatic 4×4 JACT9 pickup.

Alternative Chinese Pickup Pricing and Specifications in the Market

The engine produces 242 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque, matched to an eight-speed automatic transmission with steering wheel paddle shifters and four-wheel drive.

Priced at $69,700,000, the JMC Grand Avenue undercuts established domestic competitors, creating a significant market gap. The vehicle features a reinforced and adjustable suspension, 285/70 R17 tires on Dadao wheels, a 900-kilogram payload capacity, an 80-liter fuel tank, and a 3,270-millimeter wheelbase.

The interior equipment on the Grand Avenue GL includes leather upholstery, a multimedia screen, an electrically adjustable driver seat, a rearview camera, front and rear parking sensors, an electric parking brake, a rain sensor, six airbags, and driver assistance systems.

JAC and JMC Expand While Launch Dates Remain Unconfirmed

While JAC Motors and JMC products expand their presence through new Córdoba infrastructure and promotional sales events, specific commercial launch dates for the Higer bus fleet and the Linktour Alumi Pro have not been formally announced.
