A former Conservative election candidate caught on hidden camera discussing contract killers worked as a junior social media external consultant in Kemi Badenoch’s office as late as 2025, The Guardian reported. Jack Ross is facing an immediate Conservative Party suspension and internal investigation following the broadcast of an Al Jazeera documentary. In the undercover footage, Ross appears to ask an investigator What do you want done?
and offers to broker services with a violent criminal linked to a paramilitary organization.
Jack Ross faces party probe over undercover footage
Al Jazeera’s investigation, titled Contract Killers and the Far Right, captured Ross responding to a fictitious scenario involving a business dispute. The undercover journalist approached Ross with a fabricated situation where a deceased uncle’s business faced a hostile takeover from a criminal gang. According to the documentary, Ross replied that the individual had to deliver on that as well
before adding, I’ve got to keep my name out of it.
Our latest investigation, showing links between Turning Point UK (@TPointUK) and a hitman linked to the UVF, a proscribed terrorist group.Jack Ross, Turning Point UK CEO, got our undercover journo in touch with the hitman, whose name is Allan Nesbitt. https://t.co/6XWgr7K7ay pic.twitter.com/pG0wKRHCAq
The footage shows Ross detailing a menu of violent options purportedly available through his contacts. He allegedly told the reporter that operatives can just kick the fuck out of someone. That’s a certain amount. They can start cutting people’s faces up, that’s another amount. And they can stab someone. They can shoot someone. They can kill someone.
The BBC reported that Ross later claimed his recorded remarks were not meant to be taken seriously.
Ties to Turning Point UK and paramilitary links
By the time he consulted for the opposition leader’s office, Ross was serving as the chief executive officer of Turning Point UK, a British offshoot of an American organization founded by Charlie Kirk. Undercover footage revealed that Ross introduced the Al Jazeera reporter to Allan Nesbitt, a convicted criminal from Glasgow and a member of the Ulster Volunteer Force, a proscribed terrorist group in Northern Ireland. Nesbitt claimed on camera that he had previously killed people and displayed firearms and live ammunition during a subsequent video call.

While sources close to Badenoch described Ross as a junior external consultant who provided social media advice, a Conservative staffer noted that his presence generated internal unease. Jack would come and go in the office and a few people raised their eyebrows, but it was brushed under the carpet because he got the party clicks on socials,
the anonymous staffer told The Guardian. Badenoch described the revelations as shocking allegations
and confirmed her belief that Ross is no longer a party member.
Police Scotland reviews documentary evidence
Police in Scotland confirmed they are reviewing the Al Jazeera documentary to determine whether inquiries are warranted. Meanwhile, Police Scotland stated that its assessment of the broadcast is ongoing. The National reported that political figures, including Green MSP Maggie Chapman, have called for strict accountability regarding political links to far-right and paramilitary networks.
Turning Point UK has not directly responded to the specific allegations. A Conservative spokesperson reiterated that party membership for Ross has been suspended indefinitely while disciplinary inquiries continue.
