Jack Whitehall’s Wedding Moments: From Suit Splits to Family Feuds and Sweet Celebrations

Comedian and actor Jack Whitehall has confirmed he experienced a wardrobe malfunction during his wedding to model Roxy Horner, splitting his suit trousers while bending down to pick up their daughter Elsie.

Speaking to British Vogue, Whitehall described the moment in detail: “I squatted down to pick up Elsie and my trousers split, my whole ass was hanging out.” The incident occurred during the ceremony at Euridge Manor in Wiltshire, where the couple tied the knot over the weekend in a countryside wedding.

Whitehall, who was originally due to wear a Tom Ford suit, had to change into a backup Dunhill suit following the mishap. He revealed this detail in the same interview, noting the quick switch allowed him to continue with the festivities.

The wedding, described as a lavish affair, featured multiple notable moments beyond the trousers incident. Horner wore a strapless silk Galia Lahav gown and veil for the ceremony, accessorized with Alaia Le Coeur heels and jewellery by Roxanne Assoulin, including a diamond necklace, earrings, bracelet, and ring. She later changed into a second Lahav dress for the reception, paired with Freya Rose heels.

Horner also shared personal touches from the day, saying she wore her grandmother’s engagement ring, which had been handed down to her after her grandmother’s passing. For her “something borrowed,” she included a bell on her bouquet as part of a centuries-old family tradition, completed with a blue ribbon on her garter — though she noted the ribbon later fell off.

Their daughter Elsie, who was welcomed nearly a year before the wedding following the couple’s engagement announcement in December 2024, served as one of three flower girls. Whitehall said he became visibly tearful when Elsie walked down the aisle, shouting “Daddy, daddy,” while Horner recalled later “getting the giggles” after tripping over her dress on the stairs, noting that “Jack was blubbing at the end of the aisle.”

The ceremony took place at a 17th-century manor in the Cotswolds and was attended by family, friends, and a star-studded guest list, including Whitehall’s former A League of Their Own co-stars Jamie Redknapp and James Corden, as well as actor Douglas Booth and David Gardner. Despite the trousers mishap, both Whitehall and Horner described the day as filled with sweet and emotional highlights.

Whitehall also mentioned being playfully heckled by friends at the start of the ceremony, with guests shouting references to his 2019 appearance on Who Do You Think You Are?, where he discovered his great-great-grandfather died of syphilis. He characterized the heckling as good-natured and part of the day’s memorable atmosphere.

The wedding, reported to have cost approximately £250,000, concluded with the couple announcing plans to head to Venice for their honeymoon. Whitehall, known for his roles in Fresh Meat and Bad Education, tied the knot with Horner after welcoming their daughter Elsie and announcing their engagement in December 2024.
