WWE superstar Jade Cargill is transitioning to the big screen, securing a role in “True Threat,” an action thriller set in Harlem. She will star opposite Jonathan Majors in the film directed by Gerard McMurray.
Majors plays Vernon Threat, a Special Forces operative seeking vengeance after his son’s murder. He infiltrates “The Carter,” a building controlled by the Apollo Kids gang, to reach the leader.
Cargill will portray Meeka, a significant lieutenant within the Apollo Kids. Her character controls the building’s red light district, wielding considerable power. The role demands intense physicality, building on Cargill’s athletic prowess.
The film, “True Threat,” will showcase “52 Blocks,” a Black american martial arts style, brought to the big screen with action design by Larnell Stovall.
Cargill’s film debut follows her rise in WWE, marked by a dominant presence and a standout performance at WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas.
