Jai’Len Josey Steps Into the Spotlight With Debut Album ‘Serial Romantic’ – R&B Rising Feature

Jai’Len Josey has released her major label debut album, Serial Romantic, through Def Jam Recordings, marking her official entry into the spotlight after years of building her career independently.

The Atlanta native described the album as a reflection of her personal journey, blending R&B, house, and Southern influences while exploring themes of love, self-growth, and emotional honesty. She emphasized that the project’s foundation lies in her own songwriting and lived experiences.

Before pursuing music full-time, Josey developed her performance skills on Broadway, appearing in The SpongeBob Musical: Live on Stage!, an experience she said sharpened her stage presence and artistic confidence.

Her transition to recording stemmed from a desire to tell her own stories. She began writing songs during breaks between matinees while still performing on Broadway, eventually deciding to pursue music full-time as the show’s run concluded.
