The injury occurred during Friday night’s 6-2 victory against the Pittsburgh Pirates.Justin Foscue was recalled from Triple-A Round Rock to fill the roster spot.
Ezequiel Duran is expected to take over at first base while Burger recovers. Manager Bruce Bochy expressed confidence in Duran, stating, “I want to give Zeke some runway here.” This marks the third consecutive season Burger has faced a side injury, though he remains optimistic about a speedy return. The rangers are hoping to minimize the impact of this latest setback on their MLB playoff chances.
