Actor james McAvoy was reportedly punched by an individual at Charlotte’s Room, a bar in downtown Toronto, late Monday evening. According to a source connected to the actor,the assault occurred while the assailant was being escorted from the premises,adn was entirely unprovoked. People magazine first reported the incident on September 9, 2024.

McAvoy is said to be unharmed, and the incident was not formally reported to the Toronto Police Service. Charlotte’s Room has not yet issued a statement regarding the event.
