The Washington County Grand Jury has announced 15 indictments involving a range of felony and misdemeanor charges, including theft, drug trafficking, and violent crimes. The legal actions target individuals across several jurisdictions, including Marietta, Chesterville, and Elizabeth.
Among those indicted is James Nemo Croston, 48, of 300 Buckeye Ridge, Chesterville. Croston faces one count of theft from a person in a protected class, which is classified as a felony of the fifth degree. The charge stems from an incident occurring in December.
Other significant indictments include charges related to narcotics and public safety. Davon Eugene Kidd, 40, of 725 Front Street, Marietta, has been indicted on two counts of trafficking in cocaine and two counts of possession of cocaine. The trafficking charges include one fourth-degree felony and one fifth-degree felony, while the possession charges are both fifth-degree felonies, originating from January 22.
The Grand Jury also issued indictments for violent crimes and domestic incidents. Charles Brandon Ball, 34, of 731 Center Street, Beverly, faces three felony charges from February 7: one count of felonious assault (second-degree felony), one count of strangulation (third-degree felony), and one count of domestic violence (fourth-degree felony).
Vehicular and Compliance Offenses
Several indictments involve operating vehicles under the influence and failure to comply with legal orders. Michael Thomas Stella, 56, of 102 Wilding Road, Marietta, is charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, a drug of abuse, or a combination of them. This is a third-degree felony based on a previous conviction from New York in 1995, with the current incident occurring between March 13 and March 14.
Daniel Wayne Camp, 55, of 4245 Cats Creek Road, Macksburg, faces multiple charges from December: one count of failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer (third-degree felony), one count of obstructing official business (fifth-degree felony), one count of operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs (first-degree misdemeanor), and one count of escape (first-degree misdemeanor).

The remaining indictments focus on escape and failure to appear in court:
- Robert James McFee, 48, of 728 Burning Springs Road, Elizabeth, is charged with escape, a third-degree felony, from January 20.
- Russell Brian Bibbee, 58, of 9826 Elizabeth Pike, Elizabeth, is charged with one count of failure to appear as required by recognizance, a fourth-degree felony, from March 13.
- Chrissy Ann Sheppard, 50, of 1900 Ninth Avenue, Parkersburg, is charged with one count of failure to appear as required by recognizance, a fourth-degree felony, from March 5.
