James Prime,the keyboardist adn a founding member of the Scottish band Deacon Blue,has died at the age of 64 after a short battle with cancer. The band,formed in Glasgow in 1985 by Ricky Ross,announced Prime’s death on Instagram.
The band expressed their gratitude for the outpouring of support. “Our brother, James Prime, passed away after a short struggle with cancer,” the band stated. “Thank you so much for the messages of support that you shared over the last two weeks, they meant so much to Jim, his family and us.”
