JPMorgan Chase CEO ⁣Jamie Dimon believes America’s education⁤ system needs an update. Speaking at the Business Roundtable’s CEO Workplace Forum,⁢ dimon said⁣ companies face a shortage of skilled⁤ workers, which schools can definitely help address.

Dimon said businesses need employees with skills in areas like cybersecurity, coding, financial ⁢management, and project management. He suggested schools should work directly with the private sector ⁢to develop⁣ curricula that lead to credentials.

“What you’re‍ really short is the skills you need,” Dimon said.

He⁢ noted some ⁣schools are ⁤already partnering with businesses⁣ to help students get jobs after graduation. Dimon, who serves on the New York Jobs CEO Council, advocates for curricula that include both traditional subjects and ‍specialized, workplace-focused skills.
