Japan’s FIBA Asia Cup 2025 Quest Begins: Meet the 23 Players Selected for the High-Stakes Qualifying Window 2 Training Camp

Alex Kirk and Ryo Yamazaki selected for the first time under the Horvath system

On October 30th, the Japan Basketball Association (JBA) announced the 23 members who will be called up for the last-minute training camp for the “FIBA Asia Cup 2025 Qualifying Window 2” to be held on November 11th.

It was recently decided that head coach Tom Horvath will continue as head coach, but Alex Kirk and Ryo Yamazaki will be called up for the first time since the Horvath regime. In addition, Rion Watanabe was the only high schooler to be selected, and many other players have joined the team since the development camp.
