At the ‍Michinoku Mori no Lakeside National Park in ‌Kawasaki, Miyagi ⁣Prefecture, the viewing season for about 7,000 Kochia scoparias has arrived. This year, the rainy ⁢season had little rainfall and⁣ the temperature remained high for several days, so the Kochia scoparias ⁢grew well, and visitors ⁣can enjoy Kochia scoparias that are larger than last year.

Taku Wakatsuki of the Planning and Operations Division of the Park Management Center said, ⁢”I hope that visitors will feel the change of seasons through the changes in color and shape.” Kochia scoparias begin to turn ⁢red in early October, forming a sea of red flowers, and enter‍ the best viewing period.
