Drawing Parallels to Brazil, Calls for Focus on Organized Crime
The candidate referenced the recent events in Brazil, where 130 people died, as a stark reminder of the severity of security challenges. He urged his right-wing opponents to shift their focus from minor offenses to tackling drug money and organized crime. “Rather than imprisoning people because they steal a Super 8, let’s go after those who have control of drug money and organized crime. That is truly heavy-handed,” he stated.
Criticism of the Communist Party’s past Security Voting Record

The candidate questioned the PC’s future role in security matters shoudl a government led by Mrs. Jara be formed. ”So what will be the participation of the PC in matters of Security in an eventual Government of Mrs. Jara,” he questioned.
