John Bradshaw
Layfield recently discussed the induction of Sid Vicious on the podcast Something To Wrestle With. JBL praised the decision to include Eudy, noting that the wrestler’s resume indicated he should have been in the Hall of Fame a long time ago
.
Analysis of the Induction Delay
During his appearance on Something To Wrestle With, JBL addressed why the induction of Sid Vicious was delayed for so many years. He suggested that the delay might have stemmed from old animosity involving Vince McMahon.

JBL noted that while he personally liked Eudy, the wrestler could be difficult to work with
, a trait he mentioned was common among many performers from that era. He speculated that this professional friction may have influenced the timing of the induction.
That guy had a presence that was just unbelievable. I mean, it was earth-shattering, his presence. First time I saw him, I believe was at Kerry von Ericj’s memorial… I remember thinking, ‘Oh my God, look at this guy.’ He had those huge traps, that incredible body, and Sid just had a presence about him that was just shocking when he came out.
